25th Biennial SAAFoST Congress and exhibition in Cape Town, the Mother City, from 28th – 30th August 2023. The award-winning Cape Town International Convention Centre will host local and international delegates at the backdrop of the iconic Table mountain.
The theme for the congress, “Future Foods: Smarter and More Sustainable Solutions”, is a clarion call to explore sustainable solutions to the many issues food professionals face to provide healthy food, that is safe, affordable and delicious.
Indeed, it is true that the SAAFoST biennial congress and exhibition is the premier food science and technology event in Southern Africa. For congress 2023, sustainability and climate, innovation and technology, smarter food systems, advances in food safety, food, nutrition, diet and health, and the rise of the consumer will be unpacked to advance our understanding of food and all its manifestations.
Congress 2023 will bring together scientists, scholars, and students from the Universities and the Food Industry to present or exhibit ongoing research activities and hence foster research relations between the Universities and the Industry. This Congress will provide opportunities for the delegates from all over the World to exchange new ideas and experiences face to face, establish business or research relations and to find new partners for future collaboration.
